About the position
KBR is seeking to hire an engineering candidate for an exciting opportunity in an emerging Department of Defense (DoD) system. Join our engineering team to help shape the future of an exciting Army Program! We are seeking an experienced Electrical or Software engineer that is adept at reviewing detailed technical drawings and/or specifications, OEM technical data and test plans/reports, and has experience reviewing Software Requirement Documents. An ideal candidate is comfortable detailing their analyses and/or designs in briefing-format and is also experienced supporting an Army or other DoD customer.
Responsibilities
- Review detailed technical drawings and specifications.
- Analyze OEM technical data and test plans/reports.
- Review Software Requirement Documents.
- Detail analyses and designs in briefing format.
- Support Army or other DoD customers.
Requirements
- Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering BS Degree.
- Ability to Obtain and Maintain DOD Security clearance.
- Understand and interpret technical Drawings in accordance with ASME Standards.
- Demonstrate past experience writing and/or reviewing technical reports.
- Provide analyses directly to customers.
- Experience working within the DoD Systems Engineering and Acquisition Processes.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with a technical system transitioning from conceptualization to fielding.
- 5+ years of missile defense experience and mobile ground systems.
- Understand and analyze technical documents with a focus on releasability recommendations.
- INCOSE Certification in Systems Engineering or a relevant mechanical area of knowledge.
- Knowledge and/or experience with JIRA Ticketing.
