About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Owner (ESO) to oversee and manage the electrical systems at our Alexandria Plant. The ESO will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems, adhering to P&G's high standards for safety and performance. This position combines technical expertise with strong safety leadership to maintain and enhance our electrical safety program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Requirements

  • BS/MS Electrical degrees
  • These positions are entry-level with up to 4 years work experience.
  • Strong leadership, business problem definition, and priority setting skills
  • The skills for communicating insights and collaborating across teams/organizations​

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical management of electrical systems operating at voltages above 50 volts.
  • Ensure the implementation and adherence to electrical/power safety systems, fostering a safe operational environment.
  • Conduct regular assessments using the Electrical Key Element Assessment (KEA) to evaluate the status of site electrical systems.
  • Establish and maintain an adequate inspection regime for electrical systems, ensuring inspections are conducted on schedule and thoroughly documented.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable codes, laws, and P&G standards, leading the review of proposed changes to electrical systems.
  • Oversee all aspects of electrical power systems, including high, medium, and low voltage equipment, transformers, generators, and distribution panels.
  • Manage maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring all deficiencies are addressed promptly.
  • Keep up-to-date records of equipment maintenance, inspections, and test results.
  • Maintain accurate single-line drawings, short circuit studies, and arc flash hazard studies, ensuring they reflect the current state of the electrical systems.
  • Develop and implement a disaster recovery plan for critical electrical equipment.
  • Act as the primary contact for electric utility companies regarding outages and reliability issues.
  • Lead responses to electrical system emergencies, ensuring rapid assessment and resolution of issues.
  • Provide training and support for electrical safety programs, ensuring all employees receive necessary training in electrical safety practices.
  • Facilitate the development of electrical safety awareness and task-specific training for site personnel.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure the successful execution of electrical system projects.
  • Participate in HS&E audits and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the electrical safety program.
  • Assess and manage relationships with electrical contractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational requirements.
