Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. We are looking for Electrical Engineer capable of operating in a fast-paced, ever-changing, multi-platform production environment. Our Electrical Engineers design and develop PCBAs and breakout boards for complex electrical systems, manage and develop test plans and lead strategies across numerous platforms and architectures. As an Electrical Engineer on our team, you will be a key member of the development team and will be the main interface with the internal Operations team as well as our Contract Manufacturers (CM). Export Control Requirements Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. About the team - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent - 3+ years of experience in PCBA design and development - Experience in schematic capture and PCB design tools (Altium, OrCAD, or similar) - Experience with analog and digital circuit design principles - Experience with high-speed differential signals and multi-domain power systems - Experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc.) - Experience with PCB manufacturing processes, DFM principles, and industry standards (IPC) - Experience working with contract manufacturers and managing supplier relationships - Experience in developing systematic validation methodologies - Experience designing test fixtures and breakout boards for electrical validation - Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field - Experience with signal integrity simulation tools (Keysight ADS, HyperLynx, or similar) - Familiarity with production test systems and automated test equipment - Experience with sensor interfaces and analog signal conditioning - Understanding of component selection, sourcing, and lifecycle management - Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, manufacturing) - Ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences - Demonstrated ability to read and interpret PCB layouts - Strong debugging skills with methodical problem-solving approach - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
