About The Position

We are seeking a Part Time (Temp) Electrician to be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in compliance with safety regulations, technical standards, and company policies. This role will involve diagnosing electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all work meets quality and code requirements. 8-koi; a diverse Florida based service and consulting company that has been providing outstanding results for our clients for over a decade.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal electrician apprenticeship program preferred.
• Currently enrolled as a 2-year apprentice in the Florida Electrical Apprenticeship Association Program.
• At least a minimum of 1 year job experience.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficient in using electrical tools, meters, and testing devices/safely and properly.
• Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail .
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring systems, and fixtures in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and switches, to ensure proper operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, OSHA).
• Assist, troubleshoot, and repair control systems, lighting systems, and power distribution equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear protective gear, and use lockout/tagout protocols when necessary.
