We are seeking an Electrician I for Dollywood Parks & Resorts who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand.  We want to work alongside someone who acts as an extension of our mission, values, and culture. The right Electrician I will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator  This role exists to assist experienced electricians in the installation, maintenance, repair or preventive maintenance to a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment to support all Dollywood Company properties in accordance with regulatory codes at the country, state and federal levels.  All of this will be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company.  Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • 1-2 years of experience working with hand tools, power tools and electronic test equipment
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance for use of Company vehicles
  • Basic computer skills
  • Offers of employment are contingent on successful onboarding and preemployment screenings which may include drug screen, background check and MVR

Responsibilities

  • Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment 
  • Assist with troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits 
  • Trace out short circuits in wiring, using test meter 
  • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools 
  • Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, using hand tools 
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order 
  • Prepare materials, clean work areas, and track supplies and inventory 
  • Transport tools, materials, equipment, and supplies to work site  
  • Assist with conducting scheduled maintenance and regulatory inspections 
  • Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and transporting materials
  • Maintain records of work completed and parts used 
  • Perform duties in a safe manner in compliance with manufacturer's specifications, company policies & procedures, applicable regulations, and industry standards 
  • Must work independently as well as in a team setting
