About The Position

Responsible for the quality of electrical service, including lighting, power equipment, power transfer stations, motors and generators, electrical distribution, intercommunication systems, and other various pieces of equipment throughout the hospital campus. As an Electrician you will: Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions Perform and troubleshoot preventive and corrective maintenance on primary and secondary electrical systems to include power distribution systems, automatic transfer switches, emergency switchgear, transmission feeders, generators, device testing, inspect fire alarm system, etc. Installs new circuits, wiring, and equipment. Responds to emergency system breakdowns, power outages, and equipment failure. Supports organizational and campus electrical demand management. Maintains and repairs motor control systems. Oversee and coordinates electrician-focused construction activities and maintenance work performed by outside contractors. Assist other trade maintenance technicians as required

Requirements

  • Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of commercial electrical as normally obtained through completion of an accredited trade/vocational school
  • Minimum of 5 years as a DE-licensed master or journeyman electrician, and/or has the ability to obtain DE electrician’s license within one year of hire.
  • Possess strong systems acumen paired with troubleshooting prowess.
  • Responsive, service-oriented approach to maintenance tasks.
  • Independent problem solver with a knack for task and project completion.
  • Effective communicator with a technical and process-centric mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hospital and/or pharmaceutical environment a plus.
