About The Position

Select Water’s Electrician is responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes and safety standards.

Requirements

• Completion of a technical school program or accredited skilled trades training in electrical work.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in the electrical field.
• Basic knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Effective team player with the ability to follow directions and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical systems and components.
• Use hand tools and testing instruments to diagnose and repair malfunctioning electrical systems, including switches, motors, and wiring.
• Replace faulty electrical elements such as sockets, switches, and circuit breakers.
• Dismantle and repair or replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures.
• Mount and wire motors, transformers, lighting fixtures, and other equipment per schematics and specifications.
• Ensure all work is completed following established safety procedures and in compliance with local building and safety codes.
• Inspect completed installations for quality and code compliance.
• Estimate time and materials for electrical projects.
• Request and manage inventory of electrical supplies and equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics.
