About The Position
Journeyperson Electrician DMMI Maintenance - Evaporator, Dept. 245 Core Hours: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM A RESUME IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Must be a Machine Repair or Electrician Journeyperson (as recognized by the Department of Labor) or have 5 years equivalent Machine Repair or Electrician experience working with a recognized Machine Repair or Electrician Journeyperson. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES The requirements listed below are the minimum qualifications to post to the position. They are not intended to define the limits of the position once granted. The associate should be able to PM, repair, replace or rebuild the items as listed in the requirements column below: NOTE: Associates must meet most job requirements at time of bid year (possess approximately 75% of requirements as outlined in the job posting.) and demonstrate ability to meet full scope of job requirements within one year. REQUIREMENTS REQUIREMENT SCOPE 1 SAFETY FAMILIARIZATION Review of safety hazards unique to the position 2 HMI / PLC Be able to go online Basic understanding of programs / software / editing Upload / Download Troubleshooting / Search / create program backups 3 SERVOS Be able to go online Basic understanding of programs / software / editing Upload / Download Troubleshooting / Search / create program backups 4 ROBOTS To be able to make teach point adjustments Basic programming / Editing Upload / Download Troubleshooting / Search / create program backups Basic knowledge of component replacement procedures Software types / basic use 5 VISION SYSTEMS Understand vision inspection systems / components Basic program concepts Upload / download 6 CORE ASSEMBLY Concepts of Core Assembly machines Basic process of making cores Identify key components of machine 7 FURNANCE Able to replace and program temperature controllers Able to troubleshoot / Repair heater circuits Basic inverter operation Gas burner & gas apparatus & controls Modutrol motor operation & Igniter controls Thermocouples diagnosis vacuum Interpret pressures and vacuum Operate and home Shut down and start up procedure 8 PRESS Understanding Hydraulic system Operate Home Understanding pneumatic system Understanding pascal clamps MINIMUM POSTING ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS More than 2 years in current position unless promotable NOTE: Length of service (LOS) for journeypersons who have successfully completed DMMI's apprenticeship training program and are posting within the skilled trades area, will be based on the date of entry into the apprenticeship training program Last Performance Appraisal Meets or Better No Active Written Discipline Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position
