About The Position

While reporting to the Plant Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for performing proactive maintenance tasks necessary to provide high-quality, efficient, and timely shipment of TOPPAN products. Safety, quality, productivity, and strong work ethic are central to the TOPPAN culture.

Requirements

  • industrial manufacturing experience or military experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment
  • PLC troubleshooting experience and knowledge of industrial motor controls
  • operate a forklift
  • comfortable with lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • work independently while managing multiple tasks during off-shift hours
  • comfortable with rotating schedules, overtime, and weekend work

Nice To Haves

  • Industry experience with blown film, sheet extrusion, flexographic printing, lamination, slitting, or related ancillary equipment is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow plant safety rules including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safe machine operation
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, specifications, and technical data
  • Work on motors, contactors, and relays using a multimeter to verify component functionality
  • Operate advanced shop equipment such as band saws, mills, and lathes
  • Maintain chillers, process pumps, compressors, ink pumps, and glue pumps
  • Analyze and resolve mechanical and electrical equipment issues
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls and PLC systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration with minimal downtime
  • Diagnose root causes of production equipment failures and determine best corrective action
  • Document parts used and repairs completed in CMMS
  • Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory and parts room organization
  • Perform repairs on plant production and facility equipment
  • Participate in TOPPAN’s Global Performance System (GPS) activities including audits, pillar teams, and near misses
  • Maintain safe operational conditions of all production and related equipment
  • Use required personal protective equipment
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Perform other duties as assigned
