Position Summary: The Electromechanical Engineering Technician supports the development of advanced electromechanical and robotic systems by assembling, modifying, and troubleshooting prototype hardware. Working closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, this role enables rapid iteration of complex systems.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or technical certification in electromechanical technology, robotics, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • Experience assembling complex electromechanical systems, robotics platforms, or prototype hardware
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Experience with soldering, crimping, cable harness fabrication, and electrical troubleshooting

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with motors, sensors, actuators, and control electronics preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build and integrate prototype robotic and electromechanical assemblies including motors, sensors, actuators, PCBs, and control hardware
  • Fabricate and terminate custom cables and wiring harnesses for development systems
  • Perform prototype modifications, rework, and troubleshooting to support engineering design iterations
  • Assist engineers with prototype system builds, integration events, and benchtop testing
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues within prototype hardware
  • Support development testing by preparing test setups and hardware configurations
  • Maintain documentation for prototype builds, wiring, and configuration changes
  • Assist with development of assembly procedures and best practices for prototype builds
  • Maintain engineering lab equipment, tools, and prototype inventory
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
