Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace Inc. is seeking a full-time Electromechanical Assembler I to work in the Johnstown, PA location. Electromechanical Assembler will perform electro-mechanical assembly of various assemblies related to the Remote Weapon Station and other various product lines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/general education degree (GED)
  • 1 year experience assembling equipment in a production manufacturing environment preferred
  • J-STD-001 Certification (Soldering) - As required
  • IPC-620 Technician Certification

Responsibilities

  • Maintain active certification of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC J-STD-001.
  • Perform electromechanical assembly operations using basic tools as well as special tooling such as tape measure/ruler, torque wrenches/drivers, pneumatic tools, heat guns, crimpers, calipers, solder iron, hydraulic press by following a detailed build process.
  • Maintain assigned tooling and ensure calibrated tools are within current calibration cycle.
  • Order materials using Material Request Application or IPS/Vending Machines.
  • Ability to use Proflow for timekeeping, production tracking and documentation linked to Enovia (i.e. work instructions).
  • Familiarity with Improve/RMS database.
  • Reporting progress of job completion, discrepancies in Work Instructions, and build to appropriate lead or manager.
  • Perform operations within budgeted Production Order hours and meet Production efficiency goal.
