About The Position

Perfection Servo, a SunSource company, specializes in providing worldwide service, repair and remanufacturing in the areas of electronics, hydraulics, robotics, servos and mechanical components for various industries. www.perfectionservo.com The Electronic Engineer is responsible for setting up new electronic items for in-house repair, writing test procedures and training technicians. The Electronic Engineer is also responsible for helping to cross over old and obsolete parts for technicians, working on legacy products, helping to specify and recommend test equipment as well as performing production repair work as needed. Essential Functions: Identify and develop new items for in-house electronic and motor department repair Document and save all new set-up and test procedures Train technicians on new set-up procedures Scan test procedures into computer Assist department head in purchasing all test equipment Identify and recommend replacement units to customers as needed Cross over foreign or obsolete parts Work on legacy products Perform production work as needed Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion. Requirements

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information to the customer as well as the ability to advise the customer as needed.
  • Thorough understanding of electronic circuits
  • Ability to perform set-ups in a timely manner
  • Ability to document set-ups in a clear and concise manner.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to solder/desolder is a plus
  • Industrial electronic experience is a plus
