About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Electronic Technician to join our team of passionate individuals in Quantico, VA. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation’s security and intelligence mission. Design, assembly, and testing of electronic hardware. Requires competence in advanced digital communications technology as currently in commercial practice, possess some knowledge of network hardware and software. Must be able to assemble prototypes at the board leave and integrate component boards into systems. Make modifications to existing hardware in an expeditious manner, often based on minimal documented design modifications. Test boards and assembled devices using commercial or special purpose test equipment. Work Schedule: 8 hrs. 5 days a week, during core 8-4 hours

Requirements

Requires competence in advanced digital communications technology as currently in commercial practice, possess some knowledge of network hardware and software.
Will need to be able to pass CI FBI Poly as the government doesn’t accept existing Polys from other agencies.
Associate degree or equivalent and 3+ years of directly related experience.
3+ years of direct experience in design, assembly, and testing of electronic hardware.
Clearance Required: TS

Responsibilities

Must be able to assemble prototypes at the board level and integrate component boards into systems.
Make modifications to existing hardware in an expeditious manner, often based on minimally documented design modifications.
Test boards and assembled devices using commercial or special purpose test equipment
Performing preventative and corrective maintenance to keep equipment and systems in reliable condition.

Basic repairing system and equipment to include detecting and diagnosing malfunctions, tearing down equipment, repairing or replacing part or components, or aligning, calibrating and testing the modified or repaired equipment.
Installing equipment in accordance with plans, specifications and detailed instructions or reinstalling repaired or modified equipment
