About The Position

CALCULEX is a leader in developing high tech solutions for the acquisition, recording, and processing of data often supporting developmental and operational test of military and commercial airborne systems. CALCULEX is comprised of a small team of highly trained, skilled and motivated technical professionals. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Test Technician to perform functional and diagnostic testing on complex electronic assemblies used in aerospace and defense applications. This hands-on role ensures the quality, reliability, and performance of CALCULEX products through thorough system-level and board-level testing in a regulated, high-reliability manufacturing environment. Scope of Responsibility Core Objectives Ensure products meet performance specifications and compliance standards prior to customer delivery. Support troubleshooting, verification, and validation of electronic hardware systems.

Requirements

  • Proficient in the use of electronic test and measurement equipment.
  • Familiarity with reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of test processes and the ability to follow detailed instructions with precision.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to isolate hardware failures.
  • Effective communicator with clear documentation practices.
  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent technical training preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in electronic testing, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing.

Nice To Haves

  • IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 knowledge or certification is a plus.
  • Experience in a regulated quality environment (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute manual and automated test procedures on circuit card assemblies (CCAs), chassis, and embedded systems.
  • Operate oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and test fixtures to validate design performance.
  • Identify, document, and report test failures, coordinating with Engineering and Manufacturing for resolution.
  • Perform system calibration, test station setup, and routine maintenance of test equipment.
  • Accurately complete travelers, test reports, and data records in accordance with internal processes and quality standards.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and continuous improvement activities.
  • Assist with updating and revising test procedures as needed.
