Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Electronics Engineer. The EPS subsystem engineer tracks the operation and trends the spacecrafts solar array performance, batteries performance, power charging, and power distribution hardware, identifying and responding to off nominal situations. The candidate will report regularly to the LM team and the customer team, providing weekly and quarterly status & a comprehensive yearly trending with his/her peers. Candidate will coordinate with other spacecraft subsystems, systems and customer team members to perform various spacecraft activities (i.e. maneuvers, burns, science activities) and configuration changes, ensuring that the solar array utilization, battery Depth of Discharge & Battery Voltage remain within performance margins during the activity. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of: Experience with electronics Simulation Tools: PSPICE, SABER, MMPAT or equivalent Experience with coding in Python Knowledge of Li-Ion batteries and Solar Arrays in a power system. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Experience with electronics Simulation Tools: PSPICE, SABER, MMPAT or equivalent
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PSPICE, SABER, MMPAT or equivalent electronics Simulation Tool
  • Experience with coding in Python
  • Knowledge of using Li Ion batteries in a power system
