About The Position

The Electronics Repair Technician II plays a critical role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of production equipment and facility systems. This position works independently to perform skilled mechanical and minor electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and support efficient manufacturing operations. The technician is responsible for diagnosing issues, completing scheduled and on-demand maintenance, installing and assembling equipment components, and ensuring proper parts availability through inventory management. This role also provides guidance and basic training to equipment operators on routine care and safe operation. Work varies day-to-day based on production needs and environmental conditions, and strict adherence to all plant and maintenance safety procedures is required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimal (5) years’ experience as a Tech or above preferred.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Electronics background.
  • Must have soldering experience.
  • Experience in repairing, constructing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment including installing, calibrating, and testing electrical building Page 2 of 3 infrastructure, control systems, and equipment, cutting, threading, bending, coupling, and strapping electrical conduit wiring, troubleshooting electrical malfunctions and inspecting circuits / wiring for shielding and grounding, testing electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of industrial mechanics (pneumatics, motors, controls, wiring)
  • Ability to source and order replacement parts
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing tools, records, and multiple priorities
  • Proficient with PCs and MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and safe work practices
  • Comfortable with flexible schedules, including overtime
  • Working knowledge of maintenance-related math, diagrams, and schematics
  • Strong communication and people skills across all levels and diverse teams
  • Accountable, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Curious mindset with a drive for continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Equipment Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and Repair - Diagnose and repair mechanical issues and minor electrical problems. Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical/electrical systems. Perform scheduled and on-demand maintenance on production equipment. Ensure efficiency and proper functioning of equipment.
  • Equipment Installation, Assembly, and Component Alignment - Assist with equipment installation to meet specifications. Align, fit, and assemble component parts using hand and power tools.
  • Parts Management and Resource Readiness - Maintain and order parts to ensure adequate and accessible stock.
  • Operator Support, Training, and Cross-Functional Collaboration - Instruct and train operators on basic equipment and repair. Work independently while collaborating with production and maintenance as needed. Liaison with the manufacturer as needed.
  • Safety, Compliance, and Environmental Adaptability - Practice and comply with all plant and maintenance safety procedures. Adapt to varying daily duties based on production and facility needs. Other duties as assigned.
