The Electronics Technician Maintenance 1 applies basic technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician. Experience performing overhauls and repairs on any of the following shipboard electronics systems: High Frequency (HF), Radio Frequency (RF), High Frequency Radio Group (HFRG), Digital Modular Radio (DMR), Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT), Tactical Air Navigation System (TACAN), Electronic Support Measures (ESM), or Naval Shipboard Antenna Systems. Operational knowledge of URN-25, WSC-3, USQ-122, SSR-1, URT-23, DAMA, WRL-8, STC-2 a plus.
