JOB SUMMARY Entry-level debug technician/programmer. Responsible for the Structural Test Engineering Process and the attributes that can affect the process.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to apply of various programming languages and editors, including but not limited to: BT-Basic, vi, and emacs.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
  • Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

Responsibilities

  • Increase production yields in a real-time fashion by interpreting and analyzing data, then applying process fixes for certain NDF-type failures to hit department goals, and/or driving manufacturing issues to the appropriate department for root cause and corrective action.
  • Become proficient in fixture mechanics: including probe replacement, fixture hardware repair / replacement, and fixture operation.
  • Become proficient in lower-level software debugging, including shorts, JX/OX, pins, testjet, and analog type failures.
  • Apply analysis and repair in order to meet department goals for minimal test downtime.
  • Provide solutions and training of high-level diagnostic issues to the diagnostic technicians.
  • Prevent Structural test escapes.
  • Update and generate documentation as required.
  • Maintain a continuous flow of the manufacturing line and meeting production goals while performing the assigned test duties.
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
