About The Position

Electronics Technician Sr We are looking for a Sr Electronics Technician to join our Shelby team! As our Electronics Technician, you will lift up the design engineering team as needed on a wide variety of aerospace-grade electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, test setup establishment, testing, and documentation. Soldering to fully build assemble or rework/repair electronic assemblies per IPC J-STD-001, IPC-610 to build class 3 and wire/cable harness assemblies per IPC-620 class 3. Test setup ownership opportunities range from quick ad-hoc test setups up to and including full design of the test fixture/rig/setup which will require fundamental knowledge of electronic theory and practice including knowledge of common test equipment. Testing of prototype electronic assemblies and harnesses using those test setups then reporting results. Documentation per CW engineering, manufacturing, and quality standards and as needed per directions from design engineering. Design of circuit boards and harnesses is a welcome, but not required skillset. Familiarity with aerospace-grade components and specifications is highly desired, but not required. A willingness to build on and improve previous knowledge and skillsets is encouraged to support continuous improvement Location: Shelby, NC Hourly rate: $28.70 to $41.49 Please note that the hourly range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in NC. Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • High school or Equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Soldering electronics assembly to IPC class 3
  • Knowledge of basic test equipment such as power supplies, DMMs, and oscilloscopes
  • General PC usage and use of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
