Our Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for an Electronics Technician to provide support services to complete technical, production, or trade-level activities. You will report directly to the Line Lead of the work cell and have an onsite work schedule in Mineral Wells, TX. Moog Avionics delivers customer-focused technologies and customized solutions for Special Mission, Military & Defense, Military Trainer, Business, and General Aviation industries.

Requirements

  • Broad technical knowledge which is typically acquired through a basic vocational/technical education in a related discipline and a minimum of 3 years of experience as a technician; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Soldering skills and intermediate level knowledge of digital and analog electronics.
  • Ability to use all types of hand tools, and some power tools.
  • Proven ability to train other technicians or assemblers.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot problems to discrete component levels.
  • Technical work performed in a hands-on environment and focuses on daily plant operations, such as system operations and maintenance.
  • Ensure FOD/5S practices are followed to maintain clean and orderly workstations.
  • Perform test on products per engineering specifications.
  • Read and interpret schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Assemble parts in specified relationship to each other.
  • Request additional parts needed for specified job orders from Stockroom.
  • Operate production and conventional test equipment and tools. (DVM, oscilloscope)
  • Bolt, clip, screw, cement, or otherwise fasten parts together.
  • Phase out, repair, and evaluate units and PCB’s.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering to capture issues found during troubleshooting.
  • Document unit failure and record trends.
  • Keep records on updates and modifications.
  • Ensure quality of product through consistency.
  • Ensure product traceability.
