About The Position

The Electronics Test/Assembly Inspector provides intermittent and final inspections and test support for electronics manufacturing: circuit boards, wire harnesses, battery, microelectronics (RF/hybrids), and electronic box assemblies. Additionally, the Inspector provides witness test, connector mate/demate and torque applications, prepares paper and electronic documentation on nonconforming hardware, interprets drawings, schematics, sketches, specifications and standards, and works from manufacturing work instructions and provides surveillance when needed.

Requirements

  • Electronic Circuit Card experience or equivalent technical proficiency.
  • Quality Assurance, instrument/equipment Technician Quality Assurance, Product inspection, mechanical inspection capability or equivalent.
  • Must have working knowledge of surface mount and through-hole solder requirements or equivalent.
  • Be familiar with conformal coating and bonding of electrical components or equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass and certify with all required training as dictated by the organization's OTSP (operational technical skill plan).
  • Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications, and the use of computer resources to access specifications, engineering, and communicate effectively with others with minimal assistance.
  • Willing and able to work second and third shifts, weekends, and holidays depending on union contractual requirements.
