About The Position

In-person Tutors will support STH students across multiple grade levels by reinforcing classroom instruction and assisting with core academic subjects. Tutors will work directly with students during the school day, providing academic support, answering questions, and helping students stay engaged with course material. This program runs three (3) days per week—Monday, Wednesday, and Friday—from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m

Requirements

• Strong Academics: Degree-seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field.
• Committed and Flexible: Available to work 10-35 hours per week at an assigned school (or virtual program) and participate in monthly training.
• Collaborative Spirit: Ready to work alongside teachers, school leaders, and fellow tutors to maximize student success.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in core subjects like Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Regents exam prep.
• Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to deliver engaging, personalized learning strategies that help students thrive academically and personally.
