About The Position

To provide administrative support to the Elementary Principal and Assistant Principal. Duties will include assisting parents, teachers, staff and students. To help advance the mission and vision of United Christian Academy. UCA recognizes our mission as integral part of the 5-fold ministry given to the church in Ephesians 4:11-13. As such, UCA employees serve as ministers to help advance the mission and vision of United Christian Academy. Reports to: The Elementary Principal

Requirements

  • Must be a born-again Christian.
  • Must be a credible Christian role model whose godly lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Bible.
  • Must be able to support and comply with the school’s Statement of Faith and Statement of Conduct.
  • Must be a member of an evangelical, Bible-believing church.
  • Must have sufficient health and physical endurance to be able to complete the assigned responsibilities.
  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word and ability to learn SIS software (web-based school management software).
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills, with proper command of the English language.
  • Able to work well independently, manage time well, and handle multiple tasks.
  • Must have strong organizational skills for filing and detailed project assignments.
  • Maintains a work space environment that is conducive to productive school office.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • TB clearance within the last four years
  • Criminal Justice fingerprint clearance
  • Immigration Reform and Control Act of 186: An Eligibility Verification Form (I-9) will be required along with the supporting documents listed on the I-9 Form.
  • Displays a personal decorum that models professionalism, modesty, and good taste
  • Models Christian virtues in attitude, speech, and action
  • Exhibits the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22,23)
  • Models and cultivates habits of prayer, faith, and encouragement
  • Commits and contributes to a local church
  • Maintains good attendance and physical endurance to fulfill job duties
  • Uses professional office and phone etiquette appropriate for Christian school office
  • Shows positive, cheerful attitude with parents, students and staff
  • Shows integrity in dealing with confidential information
  • Provides assistance to guests, faculty and staff, parents and students

Responsibilities

  • Support and meet weekly with Elementary Principal and Assistant Principal
  • Handle communication from Adminstration to teachers & to parents as appropriate.
  • Post weekly news to Parents on ParentSquare
  • Promote ES happenings on ParentSquare.
  • Take notes at Elementary staff meetings
  • Liaise with JH Admin Assistant to submit location reservations and assist as needed.
  • Monitor daily morning needs including coverage needs and communicate to Principal and Assistant Principal.
  • Manage Outlook calendar for Elementary administration and staff.
  • Manage Eagle Awards and prepare scripts for award ceremony
  • Coordinate formal observation blocks and signups for teachers and admin
  • Coordinate teacher volunteers for UCA Discover events and assist where needed.
  • Collaborate with Campus Care Director for classroom needs during weather related in-door schedules.
  • Coordinate with student council and design class color shirts. (Order, distribute, update, etc.)
  • Respond to parents when needed in collaboration with the Receptionist
  • Manage furniture inventory/orders for ES classrooms.
  • Plan/Coordinate end of year awards and events (Print certificates, plan Activity Day in May, etc.)
  • With guidance from Instructional Coach, run PowerSchool Ranks and Honor Roll each trimester. Print certificates, coordinate assemblies, etc.
  • Support the coordination of new Teacher Orientation
  • Assist elementary with fire dreills (Run forms needed for teachers, Patrol Parking lot, etc.)
