About The Position
Knoxville Community School District is seeking qualified candidates for the following position for the 2026–2027 school year: Elementary School Counselor Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements and demonstrate the ability to: Required Qualifications Master’s degree with a valid Iowa license and Professional School Counselor (K-8) endorsement Previous teaching experience preferred Primary Responsibilities Provide comprehensive, individualized guidance and counseling services to elementary students. Support students’ academic, personal, social, and emotional development. Collaborate with students, families, teachers, and administrators to promote student success. Assist students in setting and achieving academic, postsecondary, and career goals. Address personal and social challenges that may impact student well-being. Compensation Current minimum annual salary: approximately $51,289.00 with anticipated increase for the 26-27 school year. Placement on the salary schedule will be based on education and experience.
