Requirements

  • All PBSA employees must have the belief that all children can learn, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in using technology, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a related fieldrequired.
  • Must hold or be eligible for a certificate issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission for the course(s) taught
  • 0 years of teaching experience

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate Degree from an accredited institution in a related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of teaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a challenging,standards-based curriculum.
  • Create high-quality, differentiated lessons and assessments to meet diverse student needs.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and foster a passion for learning.
  • Analyze data to guide instructional choices and offer targeted support to students requiring extra help.
  • Provide daily feedback on student performance and tailor plans to address individual learning needs.
  • Adaptinstructionto ensure all students are making progress.
  • Collaborate with Special Education Teachers to ensure all IEPs and student needs are effectively addressed both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Uphold and promote the school’s values, policies, and culture, while creating a sense of belonging both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and community members.
  • Foster open and ongoing communication with families, regularly updating them on student progress.
  • Participate in school events such as staff meetings, open houses, parent-teacher conferences, and other community activities.
  • Create a classroom atmosphere that supports learning and is tailored to the developmental needs and interests of students.
  • Set and strive toward challenging professional goals each year.
  • Engage in giving and receiving both positive and constructive feedback with colleagues.
  • Participate in school-wide and individualized professional development opportunities.
  • Commit to doing whatever is necessary to ensure all students learn and grow.
