About The Position

Elevator Manager Your role: As Elevator Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring high performance execution of plant elevator activities across multiple shifts and/or departments to produce products that meet established quality, customer service, safety, innovation and cost metrics consistent with schedules and policies. You will ensure systems, processes, and resources are in place to provide optimal cost savings and efficient production of grain-based food products for our customers. Above all you will be expected to carry out all your activities with reliability, integrity, compliance and in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner Your responsibilities: Drive safety initiatives to ensure injury-free performance including monthly safety training, observation audits, daily employee toolbox meetings, and near-miss / first-aid root cause and corrective action Develops/supervises and provides coaching to salary and hourly operation team members using the Ardent Mills core values and guiding principles Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, safety standards and sanitation practices Maintain asset reliability by working closely with the reliability team on preventative care as well as through operator care activities Monitor elevator grain volumes and communicate inventory appropriately with the team. Perform grain inventory and provide corrective actions/investigations to solve for any inventory variance outside of variance range in the digital vs. physical count Develop, participate and lead process improvement initiatives including Centerlining, Preventative Maintenance, Pristine, 5S and ELEMEDS (Every Load, Every Mill, Every Day Safely) Drive improvement and efficiency through GAP analysis and metric-based monitoring Investigate grain quality issues through follow-up and corrective actions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or High School diploma/GED equivalent with 4 years of production experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience having leadership responsibilities in an elevator
  • Demonstrated experience with leading others, including performance management, coaching, and development within a production environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to implement LEAN practices and tools to improve processes
  • Experience managing projects and driving data based decision making process
  • Must be able to read, interpret instruction and technology and communicate effectively in English
  • Must be willing to work alongside your team including long days (days, evenings, and nights) as well as weekends or holiday work.
  • Must be authorized to work in the Unites states without sponsorship now and in the future

  • Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
