Job Overview The Eligibility Specialist II is responsible for entering, reviewing, accepting, scrubbing, and correcting encounters in the EPIC Practice Management System . This position requires entering patients’ demographics, insurance verification, and recertification, and compiling patient encounter data materials . This position also includes making outbound calls to patients and assisting patients through inbound calls. Prepares communication to clinics, reports, and records as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a clerical environment.
  • Minimum of one year Customer Service experience (preferably in a clinical environment).
  • Experience in validating eligibility with healthcare plans is required
