About the position

As our Email Marketing & Campaign Contractor, you'll be hands-on in crafting and executing email campaigns that engage and inspire. Using HubSpot, you'll build sleek email templates, set up smart workflows, and find new ways to boost engagement. You'll also lead the charge in growing our newsletter audience, building one of the coolest newsletters out there-packed with unheard-of stories that captivate our readers. Along the way, you'll collaborate with multiple stakeholders and teams, turning big ideas into impactful campaigns. Plus, there's potential for this contract to transition into a full-time role if things click!

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a rapid audit of our current email strategy and identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and implement an updated email marketing strategy using HubSpot, with a focus on list segmentation, automation, and audience engagement.
  • Set up automated workflows to streamline communication and nurture leads effectively.
  • Implement strategies to increase newsletter subscribers by at least 20% during the project.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create engaging and valuable content that resonates with the target audience.
  • Perform A/B testing on subject lines, content, and designs to optimize engagement.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute two major marketing campaigns during the contract term, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Set up and track campaign performance metrics to measure engagement, conversions, and ROI.
  • Provide a detailed post-campaign analysis with suggestions for future optimizations.
  • Build a dashboard to monitor email marketing KPIs including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and unsubscribe rates.
  • Deliver a comprehensive project report outlining campaign outcomes, insights, and recommendations for continued improvement.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in email marketing and campaign management, preferably in project-based or short-term environments.
  • Proficiency in HubSpot for email marketing, workflows, and performance tracking.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, create insights, and drive recommendations for improvements.
  • Familiarity with audience segmentation, A/B testing, and marketing automation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Salesforce CRM Experience: Experience with Salesforce for email marketing or campaign management is an added advantage.
  • HTML/CSS Knowledge: Ability to edit email templates for design tweaks or work with designers for customization.
  • Notion for Project Management: Familiarity with Notion as a project/ task management system for team collaboration.
  • Graphic Design Skills: Familiarity with tools like Adobe Photoshop, Canva, or Figma to create or collaborate on email assets.
  • Growth Hacking: Experience in using innovative methods to rapidly grow email subscriber lists and improve engagement rates.
  • Google Analytics: Familiarity with Google Analytics for tracking campaign results and providing deeper insights.
  • SEO for Content Marketing: Understanding of SEO practices to optimize newsletter content and increase reach.
