UPLIFT Desk is hiring an Email Marketing Specialist focused on putting the customer at the heart of our communications. You will be responsible for end-to-end email production: from visual design and layout to technical implementation within HubSpot. You will deliver targeted trigger-based communications that drive engagement, conversion, loyalty, and retention via our CRM platform. This role will be a pivotal addition to our Austin-based team, serving as the primary owner of our email channel and the HubSpot CRM environment. Our ideal candidate is a full-stack email marketer: strategic, analytical, and creatively capable of designing their own assets.

Requirements

  • HubSpot Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with HubSpot Marketing Hub is non-negotiable, specifically regarding workflow automation, list segmentation, and reporting
  • Creative Design Proficiency: Proven ability to design professional, on-brand email assets independently using tools like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
  • Marketing Experience: 3+ years of experience planning and executing journey-based CRM and email marketing campaigns for a B2C or DTC e-commerce brand
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to analyze performance data to identify trends and optimize plans, combined with an aptitude for solving problems with creative ideas
  • Project Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage the approval flow, multitask, and prioritize initiatives to meet strict deployment deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS to troubleshoot rendering issues or customize templates within HubSpot
  • Experience with other e-commerce platforms (like BigCommerce, Shopify, Magento) and how they integrate with HubSpot
  • Background in copywriting for subject lines and email body content
  • Experience in a dual B2B and B2C environment
  • HubSpot-specific certifications (Email Marketing, Marketing Software, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • HubSpot Ownership & Strategy: Own the relationship with HubSpot (our CRM/ESP) to plan, develop, and deliver an email roadmap that leverages segmentation capabilities and best practices across the customer lifecycle (win-back, nurturing, post-purchase, loyalty, etc.)
  • Visual Design & Layout: Fully design and layout high-converting emails using design tools ( Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Express, etc.) and implement them directly into HubSpot templates
  • Automation & Workflows: Build, maintain, and optimize complex automation workflows and triggers to ensure the right message reaches the right customer at the right time
  • Audience Segmentation: Manage CRM data to create precise customer segments based on behavior, purchase history, and engagement
  • Testing & Optimization: Develop and implement a rigorous A/B testing roadmap (subject lines, design, CTAs, send times) to continuously improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversions
  • Performance Auditing: Leverage analytics to audit email performance weekly and monthly, presenting actionable insights and recommendations to leadership
  • Process Management: Manage the entire email production workflow, including the approval process, editing rounds, and quality assurance (QA) across devices and clients
  • Database Hygiene: Maintain the health of the HubSpot database, managing list cleaning, unsubscribe rates, and ensuring high deliverability
  • Compliance: Ensure all email campaigns comply with industry best practices and applicable regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.)
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with the paid advertising, creative, and content teams to ensure email campaigns align with holistic go-to-market efforts
