Opportunity Overview We have an immediate opening for an Embryology Lab Assistant to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Rockville, Maryland . Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM Compensation: $22 to 25 per hour (commensurate with experience) This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in biology, chemistry, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience in a laboratory or clinical environment is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently and follow precise instructions
- Comfortable working in a highly regulated, sterile environment
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and cleaning of lab equipment and supplies
- Monitor and maintain lab cleanliness and organization
- Prepare media, solutions, and embryo culture dishes
- Perform basic data entry and maintain accurate lab records
- Processing semen samples for insemination
- Cryopreservation of semen samples
- Manage inventory and restock lab supplies
- Follow all safety, HIPAA, and lab protocol guidelines
- Assist with quality control checks and documentation
