About The Position

The Emergency Department Performance Liaison (RN) supports and improves emergency department performance through proactive quality oversight, audit management, regulatory readiness, and patient experience initiatives. This role serves as a liaison between frontline staff, emergency department leadership, and organizational quality partners to ensure alignment with performance standards and regulatory requirements. Requirements

  • Current RN license
  • 3-5 years ED experience
  • knowledge of ED workflows and quality metrics
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
  • Strong communication skills
  • ability to analyze performance data
  • ability to coach staff without direct authority
  • strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Quality or performance improvement experience
  • familiarity with patient experience metrics
  • CEN TCRN, or CPEN

Responsibilities

  • Monitor emergency department performance metrics and quality indicators
  • Support nursing staff with documentation accuracy and timeliness
  • Manage quality, documentation, and regulatory audits
  • Assist with survey readiness and follow-up activities
  • Support patient experience initiatives including HAHPS and Press Ganey
  • Conduct staff rounding and engagement touchpoints
  • Plan, develop and implement projects that improve efficiency
  • Provide real-time support during high-acuity or critical patient events
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on performance improvement
  • Assist with other departmental needs as assigned
