Integrates education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to gain confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers. Exercises sound judgment and developed clinical skills to support the patient's plan of care based on the diagnosis in a timely manner. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety to help deliver optimal patient care. May also be responsible for performing specific tasks and/or orienting other staff to the department. Assists nursing personnel and physicians in providing emergency care services. Observes, identifies and reports client's needs to nurses. Requirements

• HS Diploma or general education degree (GED).
• CPTI-Certified Phlebotomy Technician Level I
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
• One year related experience in an acute emergency department.
• Knowledge and ability to apply sterile technique
• Knowledge of emergency care techniques and procedures to provide quality care to clients
• Ability to assist with casting and splinting
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong organizational skills
• Demonstrates ability to set priorities
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, physicians and the general public.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
