The Emergency Medical Technician is responsible for performing assigned duties within his/ her capabilities and under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. They will assist the Emergency department physicians and nurses in specified aspects of emergency patient treatment. They will also maintain effective interaction with the public and hospital personnel. What You'll Do: Performs pre-hospital duties in compliance with all state EMS rules and regulations. Performs pre-hospital BLS duties in compliance with all state EMS rules and regulations and under the direction of the departmental medical manager. Performs daily vehicle maintenance check and cleans both the inside and the outside of assigned unit on a daily basis. Actively participates in safe delivery of patient care and maintains a safe environment for all patients. Maintains patient confidentiality. Who You Are: Good communicator Ability to remain calm under stressful situations Compassionate What You'll Need: High school diploma required. EMT (California or National) certification required. American Heart Association BLS certification required. Job Information: Full time, night shifts. Starting wage $23.59 to $28.59 based on qualifications.
