About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated EMT who are passionate about delivering high-quality service and providing patient care in a professional, compassionate, and cost-effective manner. EMTs assess situations, provide patient care, and determine the best course of action and appropriate protocols for each call. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Current California State-issued or National Registered EMT certification.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Capstone policy (a DUI within the last 5 years disqualifies an applicant).
  • Ability to work any assigned shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Availability for overtime as needed, including emergency assignments.
  • Must meet local standards for qualifications, training, and eligibility for hiring, placement, or promotion.

Responsibilities

  • Audiometric Testing: conducting hearing tests in accordance with OSHA standards and facility protocols
  • Vision Screening: performing vision assessments as required for occupational health monitoring
  • Respiratory Fit Testing: administering fir tests for respirators and other personal protective equipment
  • Health Surveillance Activities: supporting routine occupational health screening and monitoring programs
  • Documentation: maintaining accurate records of all occupational health activities in compliance with facility requirements and applicable regulations
  • Injury Triage: Providing initial assessment and triage of workplace injuries and medical emergencies
  • Emergency Care: Delivering immediate emergency medical care within EMT-Basic scope of practice
  • Patient Stabilization: Stabilizing patients prior to transport to definitive care facilities
  • Emergency Transport Coordination: Arranging and facilitating emergency medical transport via ambulance or other appropriate means
  • Incident Documentation: Completing thorough documentation of all emergency responses, treatments provided, and patient dispositions
  • Review paperwork for accuracy and adherence to processes.
  • Participate in scheduled and unscheduled onsite compliance audits.
  • Implement corrective and preventive measures as determined by the Corporate Compliance/Audit Committee.
  • Work cooperatively with Internal Audit, Compliance, and HR on recommendations and changes to compliance and legal workflows.
  • Take swift action in accordance with Internal Audit and Corporate Compliance regarding any areas of concern.
  • Comply with and enforce all policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required Compliance Training within the designated time frame without any compliance-related corrective actions during the current review period.
  • Other duties as assigned.
