Requirements

  • Licenses: Active, Unrestricted New York Medical License Required
  • Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (Must obtain BC within 5 years if BE)
  • DEA: Active DEA with NY address including Schedules II–V required
  • Certifications: - EM Physicians: ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) - FM/IM Physicians: ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), ATLS
  • Experience: Residency completed in EM, IM, or FM
  • Other Qualifications: - Must qualify for Moderate Sedation privileges - 2 years of case logs required - 50 CME hours within past 2 years required - Immunization compliance (Flu, PPD/Chest X-ray, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, N95 fit test) - Malpractice coverage minimum: $1.3M / $3.9M

Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency medical care for a wide range of patient conditions
  • Perform rapid assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries
  • Manage critical care and stabilization of patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary hospital teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters
