Emergency Medicine physician Job Quick Facts: Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Facility Location: Ohio - Cambridge & Jackson Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Reason For Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Period: ASAP - Ongoing Coverage Type: Clinical only Shift Schedule: 7p -7a, 7a -7p (Cambridge); 8p -8a, 8a -8p (Jackson) - Need nights & weekends - At least 5 shifts/month (8 -10 preferred) Patient Volume: - Cambridge: 55 -60 (24 -hrs) - Jackson: 15 -20 per provider Annual Volume: - Cambridge: 24,500 -25,500 - Jackson: 18,527 Admissions: - Jackson: Total Hospital Admissions Received from ED: 17%; ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital per Day: 17%; ED Patients Transferred per Day: Less than 7% Physicians in Practice: 20+ (Jackson) Mid -levels in Practice: 9a -9p, 11a -11p, 2p -2a (Cambridge) Duties: - Jackson: Will oversee/supervise APPs, ED Physician writes orders for Admissions, Deliveries Sent Directly to L&D. Beds in Dept: Cambridge: 17; Jackson: 11 EMR: - Cambridge: Meditech - Jackson: All Scripts/Paragon Other Info: - Cambridge: Transfer locations (Riverside, Grant, Genesis, OSU, Aultman (OB); Transfer up to 4.94% - Jackson: Fast track in ED & Fast Track Staffed by APP; Consultants Radiologist, Cardiologist, Pulmonologist, Gastroenterologist, Urologist, Hem/Onc. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered Requirements: Active OH License or IMLC BC/BE in EM (or ABMS/AOA IM/FM) ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS NRP COVID vaccination Clean record At least 2 yrs of recent experience Available for nights & weekends Self query NPDB report
