About The Position

Reports to the Department Head and is responsible for facilitating patient flow in the department by coordinating staff activities and ensuring proper resource utilization. Supervises and delegates triage responsibilities. Provides direct nursing care to neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.

Requirements

  • A current license as a Registered Nurse from the State of Ohio required
  • ACLS, PALS required
  • Three to five years of nursing experience with a minimum of two years emergency nursing experience with one year of recent experience in the Emergency Department is required
  • A high level of analytical ability in order to gather and interpret complex data and to find solutions to unusual and difficult problems is required
  • Possesses ability to anticipate problems and effectively problem-solve
  • Exhibits tact and diplomacy when problem-solving
  • Serves as a role model for staff and must exhibit professionalism at all times
  • Graduate of an accredited college/university or institution
  • Must be able to circulate multiple specialty service lines independently including but not limited to; ortho, neuro, davinci and trauma
  • Current Ohio RN licensure
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • Other certification required per department policy

Responsibilities
