About The Position

As a Registered Nurse (RN), at on our 72-bed unit at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. Provides comprehensive, safe, effective, evidence-based nursing care for adult patients in the mobile stroke program and acute care settings. Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities to balance clinical needs with patient comfort. Demonstrates ethical practice and assumes accountability for decisions, actions, and outcomes. Serves as a patient advocate, delivering holistic, culturally sensitive care aligned with values, beliefs, and customs. Recognizes, assesses, and responds promptly to changes in patient condition within established timeframes. Communicates effectively (e.g., SBAR), performs thorough handoffs, collaborates across disciplines, and follows the chain of command. Use emergency triage protocol to intake discharge or admit patients. Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the larger ER team adapting care to changes in patient’s condition as needed. Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values beliefs and customs. Document the nursing care plan and changes in the patient's condition. Engage in other activities that will benefit patient outcomes such as patient experience initiatives mentoring etc. Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and One (1) year of nursing experience in anacute care facility, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: AZ or Compact State, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 - months
