About The Position

The Emergency Services Supervisor provides program leadership and supervision for Cornerstone’s part-time and overnight Emergency Services team. This role builds and supports a skilled advocate team delivering trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and culturally responsive services in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. The Supervisor ensures high-quality programming, staff accountability, and responsive services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking as they move toward safety, housing, and economic stability. This position also maintains strong partnerships with community providers and systems partners.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of supervisory experience in direct service settings; experience supporting unhoused individuals strongly preferred
  • Experience providing survivor-centered, trauma-informed advocacy to individuals impacted by domestic violence, sexual violence, and/or human trafficking.
  • Strong understanding of the intersections of poverty, homelessness, and violence
  • Experience working with diverse, marginalized, and underrepresented communities.
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual/multilingual a plus
  • Alignment with harm reduction, Housing First, trauma-informed care, and client-led approaches.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate weekend and overnight advocates (approx. 8 staff)
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and supportive team culture aligned with CAS values.
  • Ensure advocates have current tools, resources, referrals, and training materials.
  • Support a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for participants and staff.
  • Gather and analyze participant feedback to strengthen service delivery.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and retention of ES staff, volunteers, and interns.
  • Lead regular team meetings, trainings, and feedback sessions with a DEI focus.
  • Partner with leadership to adjust programming based on participant needs and feedback.
  • Communicate regularly with the Emergency Services Manager and Senior Director regarding staffing, performance, and program needs.
  • Participate in internal and external committees assigned.
  • Attends and contributes to Program Leadership Team meetings, assignments, and trainings.
  • Works pro-actively, and positively, with all other Program Leadership Team members, helping to create an environment of mutual respect and maintenance of a high performing team.
  • Maintain accurate staff records, schedules, supervision documentation, and timesheets.
  • Monitor data entry, reporting, and quality assurance in Apricot and other systems.
  • Prepare internal and external reports, invoices, and coded expenses.
  • Conduct file audits and ensure compliance with program guidelines.
  • Step in to provide direct services or crisis support as needed.
  • Stay informed on housing trends, funding opportunities, and best practices.
  • Any other duties assigned by manager that support overall program services and services to survivors/victims.
  • Model accountability, professionalism, and positive leadership.
  • Communicate clearly and directly, including coaching and courageous conversations.
  • Support policy development, training materials, and continuous program improvement.
  • Collaborate across teams to strengthen services and organizational impact.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, program development, and leadership initiatives.
  • Remains well informed of employee handbook changes, policies, and practices.
  • Assist with strategic planning, program development, and cross-team collaboration.
