More about our team Join our busy 20-bed ED with an additional 6 patient processing bays and a 6-bed Crisis Stabilization Unit for Behavioral Health patients. With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4/5, our diverse staff includes RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Paramedics, Unit Secretaries and Providers whose goal is to create a collaborative environment to deliver exceptional care. We take pride in our facility being a Certified Chest Pain and Primary Stroke Center. With an average daily census of 106 patients, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment. How you’ll contribute An Emergency Services Technician, who excels in this role: Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested. Enters nursing requests subject to the approval of a licensed nurse. Asks for clarification when necessary. Assists with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges. Assembles and maintains patient records and charts. Performs needed clerical tasks, including copying, filing, and ordering/stocking supplies. Assists RNs and physicians with other patient activities as needed. Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors. Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts. Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Tests equipment for proper working order. What we’re looking for- a compassionate nursing assistant with a deep understanding of critical care principles and advanced patient monitoring.

Requirements

  • Applicants should have a current state NA I license and completed NA course from an accredited school.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required upon hire.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience preferred
  • Certified Nursing Aide license is preferred
