About The Position

The Employee Engagement & Wellbeing Specialist supports the development, coordination, and implementation of employee engagement and workforce wellbeing initiatives designed to enhance morale, retention, and organizational culture. This position focuses on administering engagement programs, assisting with workforce data tracking, supporting recognition initiatives, and promoting wellbeing efforts that align with operational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Public Administration, or related field preferred
  • Three (3) or more years of HR, employee engagement, or related experience
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Ability to operate small office equipment, including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems, as well as a computer for both data entry, word processing, and/or accounting purposes.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License or be able to obtain one within 10 days of hire of moving to the State of Florida.
  • Employee engagement principles and workplace wellbeing practices
  • Engagement survey tools and feedback collection methods
  • HR policies, employee relations practices, and confidentiality requirements
  • Recognition program administration and event coordination
  • Authority policies, procedures, and safety-sensitive workforce requirements
  • Program coordination and administrative support
  • Data compilation and summary reporting
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Public speaking and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in public-sector, unionized, or safety-sensitive environments preferred
  • SHRM-CP, PHR and/or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support employee engagement initiatives aligned with organizational goals
  • Assist with engagement metrics tracking and reporting
  • Coordinate recognition and morale programs
  • Support wellbeing initiatives for frontline and administrative staff
  • Assist with survey administration and action plan tracking
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
