About The Position

The Bohemian Grove is situated on 2,700 acres of towering redwood forest in the lower Russian River Valley in Sonoma County. For more than 150 years Club members and their guests have ventured to the Grove to enjoy and partake in the arts, music, literature and drama as well as nature walks and fine dining. Come spend the summer working in this unique and beautiful environment. We offer flexible schedules and excellent hourly wages for a summer commitment. Spring Jinks: Monday, June 8 thru June 14th, 2026 Summer Encampment: Monday July, 6th thru July 31, 2026 Shuttle Driver Transport Club Staff from the main gate to assigned work areas on specific routes in a safe and professional way. Ensure adherence to safety rules.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 Years of Age or Older
  • Show up in proper uniform
  • Available for all Shifts assigned
  • Comfortable driving shuttle vehicle at night with minimal lighting.
  • Possess an unexpired CA driver's license and have a clean driving record
  • Far Vision -- The ability to see details at a distance.
  • Night Vision -- The ability to see under low light conditions.
  • Peripheral Vision -- The ability to see objects or movement of objects to one's side when the eyes are looking ahead.
  • Auditory: The ability to use and understand a 2-way radio
  • Performing for or Working Directly with the other staff and/or members -- Performing for people or dealing directly with other people.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background and DMV check

Responsibilities

  • Assist passengers in boarding or exiting shuttle vehicle.
  • Report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs.
  • Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations, using mobile two-way radios.
  • Drive a large multi-passenger Shuttle Van to transport Club Staff between trees, high traffic areas and member activities.
  • Comply with traffic regulations in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Follow safety rules as Club Staff are boarding and exiting Shuttle Van.
  • Pick up and drop off Club Staff at regularly scheduled drop-off locations, following strict time schedules.
  • Pump fuel as needed.
  • Keep shuttle van exterior and interiors clean.
  • Maintain order among staff during trips, in order to ensure safety.
  • Maneuvering, navigating to avoid members, staff and objects in congested conditions.
