STRS Ohio is seeking an Employer Account Representative to join the Finance/Employer Reporting team. Under the direction of the supervisor, Payroll Reporting, this role provides essential support for daily employer reporting functions and helps ensure the accuracy of both member and employer accounts.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in business, finance or related field required.
  • Above-average analytical skills required; ability to gather and interpret data and find solutions to problems.
  • Ability to work with and preserve confidential information required.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with internal and external contacts required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and maintaining positive working relationships with assigned reporting employers by responding to routine reporting questions.
  • Process employer payroll reports and verify contribution data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform routine account corrections and assist with prior-year adjustments under supervisor guidance.
  • Support reconciliation of defined contribution accounts to and from the third‑party administrator, including verifying refunds and ensuring account closures follow established procedures.
  • Assist in monitoring fund transfers to the custodial institution and perform basic audits as directed.
  • Monitor contribution totals and assist with tracking 401(a) and 415 compensation limits.
