Job Posting Title: EMR Coordinator Location: Dallas - Shared Services Additional Posting Details: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm Occasional after hours work for upgrades and other enhancements to the system. Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities Coordinating and Leadership Functions: Provide regular status reports to management as required Lead meetings as required and participate in committees as directed Participate in customer discussion offering suggestions and recommendations regarding security Maintain a positive image when dealing with deadlines and demanding, highly stressful situations Organize discovery sessions to identify the operational needs of the organization Mentor application analysts dedicated to maintaining security in their application Maintain and communicate the Data Courier paths, processes, and changes affecting analyst teams Work independently on all tasks, including but not limited to facilitation of both internal and external customer meetings Work at all levels of incidents and change orders independently Analysis Functions: Manage Epic access, security, user roles, and provider records for all Scottish Rite staff, providers, consultants, contingent workers, and any additional team members needing access to the EHR. Maintain Data Courier access, monitor performance, and identify potential threats/misuse of Data Courier Work with all IT and Epic teams to identify appropriate solutions for various operational and technical needs regarding security or provider records Identify the most appropriate methods for security template build and maintenance Audit and report on security analysis for each application and each user role every year to maintain good standing with Epic. Work independently on all tasks, including but not limited to facilitation of both internal and external customer meetings Reporting Functions: Build and maintain Reporting Workbench reports as it relates to security, user roles, and provider records Answer questions by interpreting data at a deeper level and providing actionable recommendations Understand and create reports required to monitor Data Courier operations Documentation and Testing Functions: Ensure department documentation is at current levels Preform application and integration testing for the assigned module Perform validation testing with end users to gain operational acceptance and feedback to new build components/optimization projects Ensure Data Courier documentation is maintained and updated for each upgrade Interpreting Workflows Functions: Understand and analyze Epic security, user role, and provider record needs Assist with the translation of security points/classes/roles into workflow-based discussions Third Party Applications Function: Support integration with third party applications when applicable Maintain access to multiple third part applications when applicable Support application teams in developing security templates and access to third party applications Required Skills/Abilities Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in health care preferred Master's degree preferred Minimum of 6 years of related experience in a hospital and/or hospital-based clinic environment is required Epic certifications required: Security Data Courier Administrator Provider Administration Epic certifications must be current or obtained within 12 months of employment or at the discretion of the manager A minimum of 6 years of previous experience in building, training, and supporting the Epic Systems electronic health record suite is required At Scottish Rite for Children, we work together with the common goal of helping give children back their childhood. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in health care preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience in a hospital and/or hospital-based clinic environment is required
  • Epic certifications required: Security Data Courier Administrator Provider Administration
  • Epic certifications must be current or obtained within 12 months of employment or at the discretion of the manager
  • A minimum of 6 years of previous experience in building, training, and supporting the Epic Systems electronic health record suite is required
