Get to Know Your Team: UT Health East Texas EMS/AIR 1 has more than 65 ambulances, three active helicopters and one helicopter in reserve strategically located across the region and emergency teams provide rapid access to care.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Texas DSHS certification as EMT Paramedic.
National Registry or Texas DSHS Licensed Paramedic/Equivalent Associates Degree.
Must have at least one (1) year experience in the field at UT Health East Texas EMS as a Paramedic.

Responsibilities

This position reports directly to the Regional Director.
If the Regional Director is unavailable, the EMS Supervisor should report to the Regional Director on call while keeping the Regional Director over their division apprised of the communication via email, text, voicemail, etc.
The EMS Supervisor performs the functions in field patient care for UT Health East Texas EMS as a Paramedic.
The EMS Supervisor should strive to achieve and maintain high levels of patient careand clinical performance in accordance with protocols, practices, and Medical Control Board directives.
