About The Position
The Emergency Medicine (EM) and Critical Care Institutes at University Hospitals are seeking compassionate, skilled professionals to join our patient-centered care teams. Requirements
- Graduated from a state accredited EMT or paramedic program (Required)
- EMT Driving experience and or Paramedic Experience (required)
- Able to communicate effectively with people from varied socioeconomic backgrounds; able to organize changing work assignments. (Required proficiency)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Preferred/Required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred/Required)
- State of Ohio Paramedic Certification required. (Preferred/Required)
- PALS (exception CMC) (Preferred or required within 6 Months)
Nice To Haves
- Previous Paramedic experience (Preferred)
- Medical terminology. (Preferred proficiency)
- Patient care equipment specific to assigned population, telephone, beeper system, and nurse call system.
- Three Peer Reviews required for Level II and III
- Criteria to Promote and Maintain (five for Level II; seven for Level III)
