About The Position

This technician position offers the opportunity to provide essential technical support to Supreme Court Justices, their chamber staff, and Prothonotary staff in the Harrisburg area and throughout central PA. You'll also assist various Boards, Committees, and AOPC staff. Key responsibilities include supporting and maintaining staff laptops, desktop PCs, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive, as well as client applications, printers, mobile devices, and other end-user equipment. Furthermore, you’ll play an important role in supporting and configuring servers to enhance application hosting and file sharing, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in any information technology (IT) field; AND Three years of technical experience in an end-user support role.
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check required.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, configures, and supports laptops and desktop PCs with client operating systems, client network configurations, host security, remote access, line of business applications, and office productivity software applications.
  • Administers user accounts in Active Directory and Entra, including security and distribution group access and onboarding/offboarding of users.
  • Administers, troubleshoots, and resolves host client issues; utilizes client and server tools to patch operating systems and software applications; installs, uninstalls, and upgrades system hardware and software.
  • Configures and supports user access to SharePoint Online and OneDrive resources.
  • Configures and troubleshoots local and network multi-function printers, copiers, and scanning devices.
  • Works with network security staff for firewall and remote access requirements for staff access to resources.
  • Supports, maintains, and configures servers, both physical and virtual.
  • Administers and clones VMware client-server virtual machine images.
  • Utilizes tools such as Systems Center Configuration Manager for client systems management, application deployment, virtual application deployment, asset management, and remote client assistance; utilizes tools for remote end-user support.
  • Configures and supports client wireless connections and resource access on laptops, iPads, iPhones, and other Smartphone devices.
  • Utilizes ticketing software to respond to and document issues and resolutions for client incident management.
  • Coordinates hardware repair activities with vendors and AOPC/IT staff and diagnoses hardware and software problems with vendor phone support.
