Wood is recruiting for an End User Services & Sales Representative (Conventional Power)to join its Operations Americas business focusing on Oil & Gas BU. This opportunity is remote in Hampton, NJ, United States. #LI-Remote The Role The role will be remote from the eastern half of the US with 50% travel . The successful candidate will travel to power generating utility sites and perform boiler and HRSG inspections, define maintenance and modification scopes, assist in outage planning for both Wood and competitor equipment, and problem solve all equipment associated with plant operation. While on-site, candidate will interact with the client staff and promote company products/services and provide direct feedback to home office on future services/supply opportunities, this candidate will become a key technical advisor for plant operations staff to drive preference for Foster Wheeler and Wheelabrator branded equipment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or related field. An associate degree with 5 years relevant experience or 7 years of relevant experience may be considered as a substitute for the BS requirement.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the commercial aspects of the engineering, fabrication, and construction business.
  • Must be able to deal with a variety of domestic and foreign clients.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years career experience, with experience in the power industry a plus.
  • Solid PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, strong technical writing and presentation abilities
  • Must pass drug screen, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company’s driving (MVR) policy.
  • Must be proficient in reading boiler and equipment drawings.
  • Proficient with documentation and report writing.
  • Extensive domestic and international travel is required, expected to be more than 70%.
  • Physical ability to enter boiler and auxiliary equipment through existing access doors and openings.
  • Willing and able to work in confined spaces and at heights.

Responsibilities

  • Utility boiler, industrial boiler and HRSG arrangements including support structures, ductwork, pressure parts, drums and attemperator systems.
  • Visual inspection of the boiler systems.
  • Operational understanding of boiler systems.
  • Coal pulverizer and burner/overfire system operation, inspection, maintenance and performance
  • Understanding of boiler and combustion controls.
  • Boiler performance testing and tuning.
  • End User account management in the Power and Industrial industries.
