We are seeking an Energy Account Executive who is an ambitious "hunter"—someone who recognizes that in the rapidly changing energy sector, mastering data is the ultimate competitive advantage __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Opportunity: Accelerate Your Career in Energy Tech As an Energy Account Executive, you will be on the front lines of educating the industry on how the EnerKnol platform transforms business operations. This is a high-growth role where you won’t just be selling software; you will be becoming an expert in how utilities, law firms, and developers solve their most critical data problems. You will have the opportunity to develop your own territory and master the art of navigating high-stakes deals with complex stakeholders. About EnerKnol EnerKnol is the leading provider of regulatory intelligence, including research, data, and tracking software for North American energy markets. Our core product, the EnerKnol Platform streamlines the search, discovery and real-time tracking of regulations across all federal, regional and state energy agencies and legislatures. The Platform is paired with EnerKnol Research, original analyst research, news feeds, maps and regulatory calendars to optimize the tracking of major decisions, policy trends, market opportunities, compliance rules, and more. Subscribers use the EnerKnol Platform to track and search: Utility rate cases; Mergers and acquisitions, asset sales, other financial transactions at states, FERC; Renewable Portfolio Standards, climate regulations, PURPA, and other state and federal policies; Wholesale power, gas market rule changes across states; Retail power, gas market rule changes across states; Power purchase agreements, RFPs, integrated resource plans; Energy projects, including oil & gas, wind, solar, storage and transmission; Due diligence, market intelligence, competitive intelligence, and more. Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, with a clear passion for or background in the energy sector.
  • Energy Literacy: A foundational understanding of energy market structures or a strong desire to become a subject matter expert in utility business models and regulatory data.
  • Grit & Resourcefulness: A proven track record of meeting high activity goals and the ability to gain access to key decision-makers through persistent, creative outreach.
  • Adaptability: The ability to pivot quickly based on feedback and market trends in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
  • Team Player: A desire to contribute to a collaborative, high-energy team culture where everyone is invested in each other’s success.

Responsibilities

  • Active Prospecting: Methodically identify and initiate relationships with Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs), energy developers, consultancies, and law firms.
  • Discovery & Solution Mapping: Deeply investigate prospective clients' pain points to showcase exactly how the EnerKnol Platform eliminates them.
  • Pipeline Development: Take full ownership of your sales funnel, from initial outreach and tailored product demonstrations to converting trialists into long-term partners.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Learn to navigate multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving Regulatory, Engineering, and Procurement departments.
  • Continuous Learning: Rapidly absorb energy market trends, such as grid modernization, to effectively educate customers on our platform’s value
