Global PACCAR Powertrain organization is seeking a motivated Engine Aftertreatment Verification Intern to support testing, verification, and system integration activities for PACCAR’s advanced engine aftertreatment systems. Requirements

  • Currently in 3rd or 4th year of a bachelor’s program (graduating 2026–2027) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Mechatronics), Sciences, or related STEM fields.
  • Basic understanding of diesel exhaust aftertreatment technologies (DOC, DPF, SCR, DEF).
  • Foundational knowledge of engine control systems and CAN communication networks.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data analysis and scripting (MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Hands-on experience with data acquisition and calibration tools such as ATI Vision, Vector CANape/CANalyzer, or ETAS INCA.
  • Prior involvement in test planning or experimental data processing.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with industry professionals on diesel engine aftertreatment verification and integration projects.
  • Execute testing in vehicles and engine test cells to validate aftertreatment system performance.
  • Analyze test data, refine analysis tools, and draw meaningful technical conclusions.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts through test procedure enhancements and documentation updates.
  • Provide recommendations based on test findings to drive next-step decisions.
